"I could really go for a cup of coffee. "
Ms. Cophey, Riddle Transfer 2

Ms. Cophey is a staff member and Phil Eggtree's teacher at Riddle Elementary School.

History[]

Riddle School[]

Ms. Cophey had a small class of only four students consisting of Phil Eggtree, Phred Whister, Smiley Sundae and Zack Kelvin. She was known to drink a lot of coffee and was described by Phil as someone who "finishes teaching lessons two hours early in a hard-to-understand jittery voice. She would teach incorrect information to her class like stating that Earth is flat, and she would constantly be spinning her pointer stick rapidly due to how much caffeine she drank.

During the events of the game, Ms. Cophey only had 3 students due to Phil being moved to Mr. Kahm's special class. Phil would later visit the class and took a feather duster from the dustbin in Ms. Cophey's room, but she didn't question or react to Phil being there.

Riddle Transfer 2[]

After several days of having no student attendance at her class, Ms. Cophey entered her classroom to find all four of her students there, and she questioned them about their reasons of absence. They explained that they were victims in a double-abduction, but she didn't believe them because she had heard those types of excuses before. To ensure that her class had time to complete the make-up work, she decided to not have a quiz during that week. However, she was interrupted by Quiz and his henchmen who take over the building and enforce heavy restrictions, resulting in no one being allowed to leave the classroom.

While in the classroom during the takeover, all Ms. Cophey could think about was how she really wanted a cup of coffee. Phil managed to escape the security systems in the classroom and later came back and gave Ms. Cophey a large bucket of coffee. She drank the entire bucket down and subsequently started to rapidly spin her pointer stick from all the caffeine. Phil would use the rapid spinning of her pointer stick to cut open the industrial eye dropper, which Ms. Cophey can't say a word in reaction to.

Trivia[]

  • In Riddle School, Ms. Cophey's hand is reused from Mr. Kahm, which is why the tone is different from the rest of her body.
  • In Riddle School 2, Phil is reminded of Ms. Cophey from seeing the coffee machine in the teacher's lounge. Phil also says that "She shook so much from her coffee that her classroom started crumbling apart."
  • In the non-canon special features menu of Riddle School 4, it is stated that "Ms. Cophey was never a very smart person. She told Mr. Kahm that nearly all of the world's water was drinkable, but then she realized she only drank coffee and wasn't really sure how much straight-up water was drinkable. So she went to the beach because there's lots of water in the ocean and she drank as much as she possibly could. The end."[1]
  • In Riddle Transfer 2, Phil states that he has no idea how Ms. Cophey's hand could spin her pointer stick that fast, but that the room is a laceration hazard whenever she does it.
  • Ms. Cophey is the only teacher from the first Riddle School game to reappear in Riddle Transfer 2.
