808 is the janitor at Riddle Elementary School. He is also the father of 5.

History

Riddle School

808 usually just stays inside his janitor closet. He would normally tell anyone who enters his closet to get out, but on one occasion, the student Phil Eggtree went in and brought him his lost feather duster, which he found inside the trash in Ms. Cophey's classroom. He thanked Phil by giving him a one-dollar bill, and warned Phil not to waste the money on socks. When Phil enters 808's closet again, he asked him to get out in a more kind manner than before, but warns Phil that "Teachers get suspicious."

His whereabouts in Riddle Transfer 2 are unknown but it's likely that he escaped the school once Quiz took over.

Trivia

• As explained in his Developer Commentary video of the first Riddle School game, Jonochrome stated that he named the character "808" for two reasons:
  • It was supposed to sort of look like "BOB"
  • He originally drew the character sprite facing to the right, but later decided that he wanted to flip the character's animation so they would face the left. Because the name on the nametag had to be a part of the character animation and not something that would be plastered on afterwards, he decided to give the character a name that would look the same if mirrored from left to right.
• In the non-canon special features menu of Riddle School 4, it is stated that 808 loved cleaning so much that he insisted on being the janitor at Riddle Elementary School, but after his son was unfairly sued by a big t-shirt designing company, he realized he would need a better-paying job and ended up being a garbage boy in France. He had so much fun that he forgot his son existed.
